Haliman's
Food & Agtech - 12
NOTE TO JUDGES: Haliman's is a business idea that can launch right into the meat market. With a long-lasting tradition behind our products (200+ years), our products will attract many consumers, both from abroad and within the country. With careful consideration and appropriate measures being taken, Haliman’s will be able to go into various types of products ranging from sausage and top round meat to ribs and cheeses. However, we are looking to build a strong foundation with our basics first and then slowly plan for the future. We want to market a simpler, yet great tasting product to beef lovers around the US. Currently, Amazon is selling one type of meat that we will have (suho meso) for $37.50 per pound from the Brothers&Sisters company. We are looking to cut that price to roughly $20-22 per pound (before shipping) for both the sausage and top-round meat. With that being said, we can attract a larger market and continue to advertise appropriately as time passes. By being able to sell our products in various forms, whether that may be by pound or pre-cut, consumers can always decide to try out our product and not have to spend a lot of money doing so. Having eaten these meats almost my whole life, I always wondered why they were not sold in stores. Now is the time to change that and show the Balkan culture and tradition behind our products. What more can I say, producing great-tasting beef is what we are looking to do.

NOTE TO JUDGES: Samples of the beverage have been tested prior to this submission. Even in such an early iteration, all who have tried the beverage indicated that it was viable, flavorful, and left them feeling fresh. Our performance at the regional level earned us the attention of a judge, who independently reached out and is now working closely with us alongside some of his partners on advancing this project. We'd like to thank the state-level judges for their consideration and attention, as this opportunity is special to us.
