2022 NYBPC Round Two Results

The first place winners of the six tracks competing in the 2022 New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC) have been announced. This year, the first place teams from each track will compete on April 27 for the Grand Prize Award. The NYBPC Grand Prize Finals will take place as part of Upstate Capital’s event, Venture NY. The Grand Prize winner will receive $15,000 and ongoing mentorship to advance their student-led venture.

The top three teams from each track were decided today by judges following round two of the NYBPC Finals. 

Each team competed in one of six industry tracks: Food & AgTech, Health & Wellbeing, Products & Hardware, Safety, Power & Mobility, Media, Art & Entertainment and Software & Services.

FOOD & AGTECH

HEALTH & WELLBEING

Bio- Spire aims to improve healthcare outcomes for patients by filling in the technological gap present in the early detection of sepsis in hospitals. They are focused on developing a medical device that can be used within hospitals to continuously monitor patients for the early detection of sepsis.

Open Beats is a collaborative music production tool and social media application that allows artists to work on music projects synchronously and remotely regardless of their geographic location. Open Beats also helps artists find new artists to collaborate with using machine learning.
