Meet the 2025 NYBPC Student Ambassadors

The 2025 NYBPC welcomes six new student ambassadors. NYBPC Student Ambassadors are champions for the NYBPC, New York's statewide intercollegiate entrepreneurship competition.  The goal for ambassadors is to promote the entrepreneurship competition on campus and in local regions. Long Island: Het Joshi from Stony Brook University: Het has been actively involved in various campus projects and has substantial entrepreneurial experience through summer internships and on-campus employment. She has managed some of the largest events, while also running a nonprofit organization and building a brand over the past five years. Connect >>

New York City: Katerina Lewis Archer from CUNY School of Professional Studies: Katerina worked as a Program Director at BMCC Blackstone LaunchPad, where she designed outreach strategies, managed engagement initiatives, and organized workshops for student entrepreneurs. The program conducted a similar competition to the NYBPC, and before she became involved with the program as an Interim Director, she competed and won at the campus level in Fall 2022. Connect >>

New York City: Amanda Ackermann from Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai: Amanda has experience in her undergraduate university in event planning and organizing, and is now a Ph.D. student in biomedical research at Icahn SoM at Mt. Sinai, where students can connect with innovation offices for launching biotech startups. She also has experience in scientific outreach in project presentations to both scientific and outside communities. Connect >>

North Country: Kelsey Hamilton from Clarkson University: Kelsey works for Clarkson's Ignite team, which hosts several campus-wide events a year, similar to the NYBPC. For these events, she works with a team to organize the logistics of the event. In addition, she is pursuing a Masters of Science in Engineering Management. Connect >>

Mid-Hudson Valley: Nadia Ambarsom from New York Medical College: Nadia Ambarsom is a third-year medical student at New York Medical College and the first in her family to pursue an MD. Passionate about business and entrepreneurship, Nadia advanced to the state finals of the New York Business Plan Competition last year while serving as a student ambassador. This year, she is excited to compete again, continuing her role as an ambassador and advocate for future entrepreneurs, while shaping a dynamic career in medicine. Connect >>

Capital Region: Abdul Rehman from Hudson Valley Community College: Abdul is pursuing an Associate's degree in Business Administration at Hudson Valley Community College. With a strong interest in entrepreneurship, Abdul is dedicated to promoting innovation and collaboration among students. He actively engages in opportunities that foster creative thinking and problem-solving. As a Student Ambassador, Abdul is eager to connect with peers, mentor aspiring entrepreneurs, and advocate for the NYBPC competition. Connect >>
